Maybe try installing English MUI for 7000 and then upgrade? If that doesn't work, I guess there's no other way.

I would not recommend upgrading beta builds at all really. If there is a reason other than being lazy then you probably shouldn't be using a beta (reasons being important files programs, I use it as my main OS etc).

But in any case I think you have to install the English language pack and try after if that does not work then I do not know.

Windows can never be upgraded from another language of windows.

So it must be

English --> English
German --> German

But not

Germen --X English

This has been the case of every windows release (at least XP and up).

After waiting for 12 hours for the installer to "collect data" before upgrading, I cancel it and do a clean install. Upgrade is impracticable!!!
