My Windows 7 Bootscreen has decided to revert back to the vista one, (probably from when I was adding vhds to bcdedit and made a mistake and startup repair fixed it), and I was wondering if I could get it back somehow.
Thanks!

No. I've just been using my LCD on my laptop. I haven't tried a repair install, because I haven't really had the time, and I'm not exactly sure what it entails and if my bcdedit settings will survive.

I don't believe that using upgrade install to repair will work in Windows 7, they changed the way upgrade works. You can try the Bootrec.exe /fixmbr and /fixboot commands from the install disk, but that would probably erase your custom BCD settings... If it doesn't fix the bootscreen, then This should probably be reported to Microsoft as a bug.

Try to execute sysprep.exe to restore bootscreen

Hmm. You must use a Windows Repair tool and repair system with instructions.

open the command prompt with elevated rights and run the following command:

bcdedit /set {current} locale de-DE

replace de-DE with you current language. If you are using the english version use en-US.
