I moved my domain a long while back, and I do remember it was a fairly popular site (googling my handle always pulled this site up first).

There's tons of things to be found, and arranged by builds if applicable.

http://dk.toastednet.org/iex_lh

P.S.

I know it's a bit out of date, I stopped updating once Vista Beta 1 or so came out, things mostly got uninteresting filewise IMO.

I absolutely loved that site. I got the XImage for different Longhorn builds there. I was wondering what had happened when the original site went down. Glad to see it again. (Feels a bit nostalgic.)

I'm glad that I've finally *met* you.

Offtopic: Why do you have the Ex-OSBA tag? I thought Andy was no longer marking former OSBA users who registered recently as such.

The site went down when the SithToast moved to a new server and I decided to rename the domain from emo.toastednet.org to dk.toastednet.org (look at the root site, no laffin). At that point I was pretty dissapointed with the direction Vista was heading in and pretty much stopped caring to update the page (I did, however, attempt to collect all the builds that were leaked and available to testers just not the flavors for the Vista builds).

I just noticed the tag myself and I wasn't aware of this. Dunno, lol.

I added it out of boredom. I am considering a topic where users who are ex-osba can post and I'll change the rank when I have time but I work more now and its hard to find time to make changes sometimes.

Oh, and of course, feel free to donate any files (will give credit of course). I think it's safe to say it's one of the biggest file collections for longhorn junk.

Holy Crap! :o

I've been longing to see those Demo videos again for ages now, I freaked out when the site went down (lost my archive drives with most of the Longhorn files I had saved around the web).

Thanks for resurrecting it again! :D

I'm amazed I still had it myself. There's some other stuff I've never gotten around to putting up on that site. I'll see what I can do sometime this weekend. I know I have some of the uexvolutions goodies and there might be some extra screenshots of builds (mostly from winsupersite iirc).

EDIT: they are there I need to change the extensions. I forgot I compressed them all in RAR format. Add .rar to the ones that 404. Should fix it.

ADD: somewhere I have a 50-somthing MB video, bout 15 mins long, in another language of a MS guy giving a demo of a 405X era build, I'll try and find it...

Two UXEvo demos are there but are broken up in parts. I'm fixing all of this now, give me a bit.

Updated the HTML to fix the videos. The uxevo video "Windows.Longhorn.Communications.Demo.WinHEC'04-UXE.rar" is currently uploading with 8 minutes left. After that everything is definitely fixed as far as I know. If there's any other broken links let me know and I'll fix them. I did some organizing of those folders a long while back after the site went down (mostly just compressing the files that weren't compressed) so some links may be dead but the files do exist.

Microsoft released some Longhorn concept videos back in the days; those videos are demonstrating potential real-life scenarios of Longhorn - core technologies and benefits of Longhorn are getting discussed.

The videos are about:
  • CommercialRealEstate
  • FinancialServices
  • Government
  • Healthcare
  • HigherEducation
  • Manufacturing
  • Telecom

I am not sure if these videos are still available somewhere on the net, but if someone is interested, I could upload them..

Sure, put it on MU or RS (or anywhere really) and I'll add it tomorrow with jabster's video.

Having some issues with Dreamweaver 8 installing properly on Win7 x64, but the correct link is

http://dk.toastednet.org/iex_lh/Demos/L ... .uexvo.rar

I might have to boot into XP later tonight to add the new videos, dunno what the deal is, it just says it was unable to complete the installation :|
