Quite some time age we heard that the longhorn 08 project was being started again but since then we have still not seen any progress or heard any news about the project
Will we get to see progress or will we be left disappointed again?

Long since dead. The 'revival' came to nothing I'm afraid.
Swift (who did the themes) has started customising 7 starting with Build 6956 and 7000 though, producing a Longhorn M7-era theme, A Vista Beta 1-era theme and a Windows 7 M2-era theme for those builds. You can check them out on Joejoe (Look in the Windows 7 forum).

Everyone else involved with Longhorn 08 is somewhat busy with other things right now, Me and Daniel are both kinda busy with mantaining the Milestone Server, and working on various (web-development) projects related to that, Jake also with Pure Elite and his server. Greig, Ben (Mitchell, bns06) and Amon91 are both busy doing moderator work on other forums.

Longhorn 08 was really an overly ambitious project that didn't have enough time to do what it set out to do.

You should put the files that you;ve done somewhere, so other people who have free time ( like me! ) can do developement.

We did release pretty much everything we had done. A few tweaks here and there to the themes, but that was pretty much it.
