A new build of Windows Live Wave 3 beta has been released: http://download.live.com/

Note: If you are using Windows 7, have the task manager ready and in the process tab. When all the applications are install, the installer will rollback and remove them. End process wlsetup-all.exe after the last application is install to prevent the installer from rolling back.

Tell my if you also have the problem with the installer rolling back or not.

I'm running 6956 and did not experience the "rolling back" problem. What build did you experience it on?

It's probably not fully x64 compatible

Also this is an RC build.
