Hey guys, quick question!
I've recently got an extra 4GB of RAM, bringing me up to 6GB. I'm planning on installing Windows Vista x64 to take advantage of all that RAM, but I'd also like to keep using Windows 7 x86 - I figure the best way to do this is to just install Windows Server 7 x86, which should be able to take advantage of all my RAM using PAE.

So, down to the point. Can I activate the super-bar in Server 7, after activating the Workstation service?

Yes, you can. I activated it even on VMWare

So how was this done? Was it by using the blue badge unlocker?

You can activate the SuperBar on Server 7 easily enough using the Blue Badge Tool, but remember there is no Server 7 x86, Server 7 only comes in x64 ;)

D'oh! That's right, forgot about that. Oh well, I'll just install Windows Server 2008 for my 32-bit needs, so I can still take advantage of all the RAM. Thanks anyways, guys. :D

I thought that Blue Badge was only for the x86 version, but I see that it DOES work on x64?

Well I watched and waited on this thread patiently. Now I have to ask. Where is Windows server 7 available? As far as I knew, it wasn't yet off the Seattle drawing boards.??

Last time I checked, it's on the server. (Windows 7 Server Build 6801 x64)

Thanks for responding, Emir. I had a look and, indeed, there it is. But what is it? Apart from the fact that it is planned for release, I cannot find any info on it.

Look around the forum here...

- Server OS
- Just like Server 2008 but a bit different.
- You can activate the superbar (at least I think you can).

You can, I did so using the BlueBadge x64 tool and it works fine. You can even activate it if you still happen to have a "Longhorn" Server beta/pre-beta x64 key around with a quick call to the automated phoneline.

Nope. Could't find anything new there, other than references to the FTP download. I really want to read something authorative about it outside of this site.
