when i try to install longhorn 4039 on vmware 6.5 the setup doesnnt get past the first screen can i get any help regarding this pleaseImage[/img]

You have to set your date back to the day that the build number shows.

I dont think that is the problem because if the date is not set back windows just refuses to log on there is no problem during the installation but here windows just doesnt start installing

It's a hardware incompatibility. VMWare was a significant step in terms of emulated hardware, and this means it's slowly loosing it's Longhorn compatibility.
