Hi, I'm trying to get Longhorn 5048 running in VMWare, I read DjRob's Collection book and it tells me the format trick, However when I press F10 when It says Welcome to Setup no command prompt comes up. Could Someone please help me,

Thanks :)

Shift+10 does work, for some reason the MWCB left out the Shift+ and just putted in F10

I don't mean to sound a negative jerk here, but Windows Longhorn Build 5048 seems the equivalent of a barren wasteland! :(

Compared to what? IMO it's one of the more exciting LH builds, early 2003 codebase and a generally much cleaner system. That and 5112 are among my favourite LH builds. It's got DWM, a nice gui overall and is _much_ stabler than the earlier builds.

Well, I know its because it is based on Windows Server 2003, but it hogs up a lot of HDD space, despite the fact nearly everything has been stripped out. There is no Games, no Windows Movie Maker, etc.... Also, I have noticed that even if you get the sound working, (I know it is a bug). but the sound often stutters like hell! BTW, can WinFS Beta 1 be installed on this build using the ''patched'' version that allows it to be installed on any system, even if it isn't running XP SP2?

Offtopic comment: Woohoo! My 400th post!!!!
