Yeah it's looking great, but i think the task bar is a bit too big.

It looks OK, but I have seen better concept pictures than that.

I think it's a bit too much of.... everything :P. But keep working on it, if it doesn't pan out you'll at least have the knowledge =).

Like it, but I'd love a smaller taskbar, and maybe the username a bit smaller too, and leaving there space for minimized applications.
Nice work

Yeh, he is right. I wouldn't want a taskbar/sidebar combo hogging up half the screen! :P

Honestly, I think it look's hideous, but it does show alot of useful photoshop techniques, so, with practice, you should eventually be able to make somthing better.
How about cheerier colours, all that black and grey is depressing.

Why doesn't he use colours like blue, green or red or even orange? In my opinion, that would make it look a lot less depressing! :)

It lookslike a bit as a combination between the new windows 7 'thing' (how is that round thing called?) and a taskbar sidebar i've seen on deviantart.

Maybe the taskbar is a bit too full, and where is the start button?

It's quite good, only a bit too black.

I also agree with the extreme blackness. Maybe if the big logo of Windows would be colored it would give it a delicious touch. Anyway, I still think the "taskbar" is enormous as well as the username. :)

cool thanks for the feed back
I went for the black/grey to kinda play off of the mystic Onyx feel. yea, i understand it def WOULDNT appeal to most of the public, but if i had it my way, dark colors are good with me. I want a fantasy OS, not another vista/xp mash up. yea i'll keep working on em.

I like it. Especially how dark it is. I do agree, though, that the taskbar should take up less screen space.

Avoid bumping topics unnecessarily, I've already deleted a number of large, pointless bumps.
