13a. Pointless posts are not allowed and will result in a warning. Repeat offenders will be banned.
13b. Examples of pointless posts are: “wow cool”, “thanks!”, “I have one of those!”, or posts which contain just avatars. These sorts of posts do not count as contributing posts and will often be immediately deleted without warning by a moderator.
13c. New users that post these sorts of posts, having obviously not read the rules, will have their posts AND account deleted without warning.

I think the idea of that rule is to stop the people who just sign up, and post thanks in 10 topics.

Speaking of useless stuff, here's a frame from Pirates of Silicon Valley:

Image
(1:29:32, Jobs is talking to Gates and Ballmer about "similarities" between their OSs)

To the best of my knowledge, that's supposed to be a brand new PC with Windows 1 (or some version thereof). However, it has overlapping windows, the calculator's "screen" looks wrong, the "dock" has icons on the right (and isn't green) and it's quite difficult to tell but I'd say it looks like it's quite a (relatively) high resolution. I know it's a movie, but c'mon! ;)

It looks more like Windows 2.x but with 1.x colours.

Could someone change the title to be a bit more representative of the fact this thread is about a "Windows 1 logo sighting"...
