Hey.
I would like to know how can I remove the Windows white title in the bottom of the screen in Windows Betas? Or even change it...

It depends on which build you're talking about...
On whistler & longhorn there's 2 strings that need to be removed from the registry...
If you remove the timebomb prior to installation they'll be gone, on builds up to Win2000...
& in most cases, if you enable "web View" it wont show, I know this works on
all betas up to Win2000, even retail trial, not tested yet though on Whistler
or later...
I only just found the Web View trick playing with Neptune recently...
I modded the setup so the build shows on the desktop when installed, but as
soon as I enabled Web View for the Activity Center, the string dissapeared off the desktop...

There are a few topics about this already.

For Beta's, its MANDATORY, you cant delete it.
Its all part of the experience and hard-cooked into explorer, without it its crashes.

For RTM is OPTIONAL.

Chacing:
Dont know.

As I said above, there's 2 strings that can be removed from the registry to eliminate
the string showing on the desktop, I've yet to check the stings existence in the hives as yet
though, it may even be an option to remove it prior to installation...
& yes I have done it, & know it works...
I'd have to dig out some backed up data from about 4/5 years ago to find the strings
responsible, been a while since playing with such...

I dont know why you'd post "it's hard-cooked into explorer" or say it's mandatory :?
