Hey all!
I need just a little favor.
If anybody has ProceXP running on Windows 7, can you send me a screenshot of its processes?
Please.
I think I found the way of surpassing the timebomb, just I need that.
Thanks!

Thanks for that.
I've solved that part.
I have a hypothesis.,
If i replace slui.exe with a program that invokes explorer it would stop buggging.
That's true, but
after replacing SLUI then it enters nicely into the system, but, i have no control panel, so, what is it possible to do in order to restore it?
Thanks

Nono, look
Slui.exe is the app that says "activate ..."
So, if closed, it windows Logs off.
If I replace it with an app whose code is simply "shell c:\windows\explorer.exe"
then it works. It boots and loads even if date is current.
The problem is that after that cpl dissapears, well, their items, so now
It's not the thing of the slui or not, I just want to know if there's a way to restore it without touching the slui.
Thanks

How can I do that? I got explorer.exe running, manually, but haven't got rid of slui.exe yet. Might it be possible just to replace that with another copy of explorer.exe? Bit quicker, really.

A common side effect of 'cracking' activation is that you can't get access to CP, this doesn't fix the time bomb

Looked at it. SLUI.EXE can't be removed, or renamed. It can be copied. Can't be done.

Windows 7, like Vista, tries to block people from modifying system files by setting the NTFS File permissions so that a user can not just rename or replace files. However, you can still take ownership of the files and subsequently grant yourself full access to the system files and then you'll be able to rename it ;)

Hehe, I was quicker.
It doesn't work. If you replace it with a renamed explorer it just quits immediatly.
Secondly. I was able to replace it with a 16 kb program that just invokes explorer... Nothing ocmplicated. That's okay. I just need to know if there's a way of restoring the control panel after changing slui.

Well, If SLUI is where the timebomb is, and the file that controls the CP icons, why not do what QuiescentWonder said and replace it with one from Vista/Server 2008? That should work?
