This software update includes the following components or features that improve wireless support in Windows Vista:
• Bluetooth version 2.1 support
• Unified Pairing user interface
• Windows Connect Now updates
Some of these features may work with existing hardware. However, you must have new hardware to take advantage of the new functionality.

This update is compatible with all versions of Windows Vista. It can be installed only on a computer that is running Windows Vista Service Pack 1 (SP1).

I compared it against the ones that I downloaded from connect when they went live and yes it is the x86 beta version. In the same directory I found my copy of the the (apparently) unleaked x64 version, so here it is:

And here are the release notes and instructions that went along with them:
Code:

(They have a contact email at the very end for the wireless update release team if anyone wants to get in contact with them and seen when the release of the final version is, if the alias is still up and running.)

These are pretty much the only thing i kept from the SP1 beta because I hoped I could get them working on the gold release of SP1, if anyone can I think we would all be grateful.

Enjoy!

Hmm, the version you uploaded is 6.0.6002.16391 from November 2007.
On the KB Article for the Feature Pack you can see that there is a newer version available,
6.0.6002.18273 from the 29th march. Any chance to get this?

Nope, the final versions were never released... not to us on MS connect and not to OEMs like Microsoft said they were going to... at least not yet.

From what I've been able to gather from a few of the devs I worked with during the SP1 beta program, their "official" answer is that the KB article was posted months before it should have been and that they were nearing completion internally but had no idea when it would be released.... But that was months ago so who knows where they are at.

I can try asking again, but I don't want to push my luck.

Edit: I thought I would reiterate that both my x64 version and seika's x86 version are the same beta build, both timestamped from November.

First; So? we have it here.
Second; They only have the x86 beta version, I'm the only one who has ever leaked the x64
Third; I don't think thats going to count as a contributing post. Sorry.
