Longhorn 4051 x64 Driver Issue

Post by TheBetaFan18329 »

Hi Everyone! I installed Windows Longhorn Build 4051 x64 in VMware Workstation 16. I tried to install the VMware 6.5.2 SVGA drivers on this build but when I try to install the driver, I get this error: https://www.betaarchive.com/imageupload ... r.8415.PNG :(

Is there a way I can install the driver?

because its x64, if you're using melcher's 6.5.2 iirc there was only x86 variant although i might be mistaken, try x86fre 4051, should probably work fine

I am trying to install the display driver in Windows Longhorn Build 4051 x64 not Windows Longhorn Build 4051 x86.

We use to use "decorated" .inf files back in 2005 for x64 broken drivers.

Google: decorate x64 .inf file

Edit: I forgot to mention a decorated driver will be unsigned & wont work in newer OSs.

We understand you are trying to install the driver onto x64. But that driver is NOT for an x64 install. It will never work no matter how hard you try.
