Longhorn 4074
Good morning/day/afternoon/evening everybody. I'm currently stuck with a problem that prevents me from installing Windows Longhorn on my computer. Each time I try it shows a BSOD with the error code 0x0000007B. As far as I know it stands for "INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE", so the first thing that came to my mind was to enable AHCI mode in the BIOS. Turns out it is enabled. What's the problem? Why doesn't Longhorn detect the drives?

I'm using a DVD disc. Tried installing from the USB drive, but programs like Rufus, Easy2Boot and etc. do not accept the .iso with the reason "MBR not detected in the .iso file".

Incase you're curious, yes, I've installed and tried it in VMware. But right now I'm desperate for a real installation.

P.S. I've tried three different types - the original ISO, TWIWMTB and Reloaded versions.

Thank you in advance.ImageImage

change the IDE mode in the BIOS and install build 4074 or install Windows XP SP1 first and then you can start updating Windows Longhorn build 4074.

Make sure you have disabled Sata or slip-streamed Sata drivers

I have it changed already. Yet nothing is improving.

Oh yes. I should consider upgrading from XP.
