Could you try the Windows 8.0 version of this driver? I know it's a long shot, but it's worth checking.

There are other steps you can take. Try installing the 8.1 version of the driver or 10. If those don't work either, then try extracting the setup.exe for the drivers and install the drivers manually by right-clicking the .inf file and click Install. You will need the .cat file and the .sys files as well if my memory serves right.

Edit: Camwinny, have you by any chance debombed the second index? The edition that is Technical Preview for Consumers?

Does this work on builds that won't boot after the timebomb expires? (e.g. 9888)

No, this does not work on builds that won't boot after the timebomb expires

It's possible to apply this fix on a new iso? Or only after post-installer?

I have a few questions
1. Is 9780 can be debombed with this steps?
2. Do you doing this step before installation or after installation of build that will be debombed?
I love Anime. But...
Windows Betas are more addictive! (Windows Insiders too, of course!)
Most beloves build : 8102, 9600, 9780
Daily Driver Build : 19613.1005

I'm not sure if Build 9780 can be debombed. However, I do know that Build 9785 can though. You have to debomb the build with DISM before initiating the setup.

I have follow your tutorial, also setting sppsvc permissions to tokens.dat etc, but i still can't debomb this build (the Reinstall Windows now popup still shows and timebomb is still labeled at winver). How to solve this?

Edit : Are we need to replace sppsvc.exe, tokens.dat, cache.dat, etc from build that will be debombed with the file from 8.1 one?

This problem happened to me a few months ago, and I haven't found the reason. I'll solve that problem if I am free.

Does anyone know if 9907 fbl_ie can be debombed with this method? I tried and failed to get it working (just like 9834) so I'm obviously doing something wrong. However I did manage to get rid of the annoying pop-up that asks to reinstall windows every 15 minutes. Still cannot change the desktop background though.

How did you get rid of the pop up?

I changed the spp folder with the one from Windows 8.1 pro like the topic says, however the timebomb still exists.

Did you change the other files/set sppsvc permissions?

Yep, I had this problem when I tried to debomb 9834 normally so it might just be something I'm doing wrong, however I was able to debomb Windows 8 CP with a similar method so who knows.

I've found that there are some people fail to debomb it. I will send a video about this method if I solve problems that I've met.

It can be debombed. You need to do it properly.
