I have 5840 DVD and installed it on my computer,I found it is like the RTM version,do they have differences?

Afaik 5840 should have been RTM but there was a error or bug in it , so ms continued developing and finished with 5940 or 5920 which was renamed to final 6000 then.

5840 also probably has the debugging code still in tact, which can impact performance.

The final builds in the beta (rtm-branch I suppose) didn't have any debug-info in them. Well, unless you run the checked builds but noone except idiots and driverdevs does that.
