I don't even remember if I even downloaded 3718, I think I did when I was in the same pursuit.

Look at the title. It`s early (Aero Plex days) concept, not a build.

It's a concept, probably created using Flash or Director, so it works, but isn't an OS.

4015 - unstable, have the memory leak problem
4028 - somewhat stable, memory leak exist, server version
4029 - somewhat stable, has some goodies
4033 - better than 4029, should be usable
4039 - stable without DWM
4051 - somewhat stable, hardly any goodies
4053 - improvements ove 4051
4074 - stable, one of the best versions with DWM

I don't think so... GUI is too old to be part of vienna/7 and too early for videoclip to be real. :? :?

It is not Vienna. It's early prototype of Longhorn (from the PDC03 days), its not OS, it is just a concept video that gives us idea how Longhorn was planed to look like...

I'm sorry if I offend the thread starter with this.

Has anyone noticed that the poll question says "Which is most stable LongHord Build"?

3718 is the most stable out of the longhorn builds and the 2nd for me would be 3706 it has some goodies in there if you dig deep enough :)

3718 works fine here, but dce or winfs doesn't matter that much for me
i think performance or multimedia functioning matters most
now im gonna try 3863 seems its first MCE version with firstly known superfetch capability
also i hope i could hv time to try 4028 first .net MCE , seems same stable

Windows 98 SE
Does anyone think they can dig it up and send it to me ?
I only need the NT Loader file.
I need it to switch HAL's on my XP system, I don't want to reinstall everything from scratch.

Thanks,
Mark

i'd say that 3718 and 4029 share the 1st position

3718 altho close to XP with light use, still has its quirks, especialy with explorer and preview panel, thats the most noticing annyoing thing one may find fast

4029 altho also good, has quirks with refreshing folder data (takes some time)
and has annoying thing with admin permissions

but from alphas they are the best
