hello, look into win32k.sys, there is 6.0.6000.16438. but why?

isnt vista 6.0.6000.16386?

I'm assuming it's because that file has been updated since Vista's release - I see in the details it says Vista GDR and has a date a few months after the original RTM of Vista.

nothing special, if you patch xp service pack2 with a few hotfixes, you would have winver showing a something like 5.1.2600.2180.xpsp-sp2_gdr.050301-1519 which is not xp nor xpsp2
