Longhorn 37xx error

hello, if i try to install longhorn 37xx (both) i get an bluescreen in the installation before i can enter something.

0x0000006f 0x0000009a 0x00000000 0x00000000 0x00000000 0x00000000

the date is right and i downloaded the cd 3 times


edit: winpe 3718 has the same

Might help if you tell us about the machine, or circumstances of the
environment you are installing this in...

6F is "The file name is too long". Something must be amiss in the setup files somewhere... or are you sintalling on FAT?

its vmware 6, no, i tried ntfs, an unformatted harddisk and fat, all say the same

9a is likely a HANDLE to a BSTR or similar containing the path. If you can set up a debugger through VMWare and do a stack trace, you may get to see what the string in question is

Try to set the type of the hard disk to "independent"
