In Whistler Build 2250 ther's a hidden Activity Center in C:\Windows\Web\StartPage.
is that similar to the Neptune/Millenium Activity Center or something new in Whistler.
I thougt after Neptune they ancelled the Activity Center.
Or could it be something from Millenium that was moved into Whistler ??

Paul Thurrott wrote about this during XP's development. This "Start Page" was similar to its counterpart in Neptune build 5111. It was meant to be displayed as an Active Desktop item, rather than in MSHTA.exe.

Thurrott writes at his review of build 2250:

Quote:
As mentioned above, Neptune, the predecessor to Whistler, was to have ushered in a new age of DHTML-based user interfaces. This work is actually continuing in Whistler, though it's hidden in the Preview release. There are two components to this: An Active Destkop-based Start Page (Figure) and a replacement for the Start menu called the Start Panel (Figure). The Start Panel, which will be configurable from the Start and Taskbar Properties dialog in Whistler, is hidden in the Whistler Preview that was given to testers last week, but it can be easily enabled and used in place of the standard Start menu if desired. The Start Page consolidates often-accessed programs, documents, and other files into an attractive desktop backdrop.

His StartPage figure is actually complete, unlike your screenshot, which is broken.

thats very interesting
but that start page isn't from Millenium or Neptune, is something new
and it should not been used as an activity center
