Hi,
i have a problem with the NT 5.0 (Win2k) Beta 2. If I boot the Setup up all works there stands: Loading Drivers...than there stands Windows NT Setup starts.
And it stands there for a long time. I boot it up in VirtualBox and VPC 2007 and I have wait for 3 minutes and there stands Windows nT setup starts....
It isn't frozen...
Is this normal or must i boot the setup on another virtual Machine Software (for example: VMware)

I may be out and sailing now but have you tried to disable any virtualisation assist services in the VM? VirtualPC has something called Hardware Virtualisation which I know causes crashes or long boot times with older betas. It's just a guess...

mrpijey is right. With the default settings on VPC 2007, Windows NT 5.0 and Windows 2000 beta builds will not work well in VPC. Like he said, you need to disable Hardware Virtualisation, if that doesn't work, go into the BIOS and turn off APCI Aware OS in the Power section.

Also, if you are trying to install pre-beta 1 builds of NT 5.0, those are NOT bootable, you need to open up D:\I386\winnt.exe in a bootdisk in order to start the install. You may also need to use fdisk to create a partition.
