im running windows neptune 5111 on an old laptop

does anyone know where the bitmap for the windows 2000 logo in the about dialog is stored ?
i have all ready removed 2k branding from the cmd.exe

Isn't it in the shell32.dll?
In Windows XP, it's in the shell32.dll.

..ah PE explorer wont save the dll it says its been packed .. any ideas anyone ?

I think it's better than PE Explorer because its free and it can handle 64-bit binaries...

I recommend using ResHacker. Works on (well, any) version of Windows and you can do that to replace the default Bitmaps.

ResHacker is too outdated, I'd recommend PE Explorer instead.

Yes, reshacker is outdated, but do not use PE Explorer, you can use XN Resource Editor, it can handle more binaries (even 64-bit ones) and it's FREE.
