Has anyone got such a key I can use for the smaller of the Windows NT 4 .ISO images?I can't remember the generic key, and I really want to get it set up again (it broke when I migrated from VPC 2004 to 2007.

Also, how do I use the 3.51 fix disk, and can it be used for 3.10 and 3.50 as well?

Thanks.

The NT4's on the Server (same date 4 versions) has it integrated.

Here are the keys:

For the 3.51 Fix Disk.
Install DOS
Copy Files for install to HD
Start setup from DOS
Skip bootdisks
After reboot run trought the Text Mode setup

Then shutdown the VM and open the VHD image or boot with bootdiskette (not from HD) copy copy the 2 files to the WINNT\SYSTEM32 folder replace the exising files.

Then boot up the VM and run trought the setup.
Also there is an Installer available on my site with Workstation and Server Virtual Machines with Internet Access and IE5.

And for NT 3.1 and 3.5 you need other edited files.

"30495-0006276-08164" Worked great, thanks.

I'm downloading the NT 3.51 file from your website, DjRob. Thanks.

The (retail channel) copies I had of NT 4 only require 10 digit keys, in which all 1's do the trick.

I didnt think 3.51 needed fixing.

However http://wiki.oldos.org/Downloads/OSUpdates is where you can get English 3.1/3.5 fix files for Workstation/Server. I guess I can link it as it was me who gave them to the admin there.

Those are Service Packs - not really making much difference to whether or not it's going to be any use trying to get them to work.

How about running 2 versions of VPC on one machine? If I can get the Connectix version 5 one, I should be able to run 2 versions seperately, shouldn't I?

Well youre wrong about that in VPC 2004/2007.
Its requires an updated SCSI and ATAPI .sys files because setup doesnt recognise the new types of drives.

And for the older files. I am making them as soon as possible.

The top link in that website it the patched files for newer computers that errored during setup before.

I wasnt aware about the issues with MVPC as I used these OS's natively and in Connectixs version before so wasn't a problem.

Interesting to here though and makes me want to dig these all out again.

EDIT:

The New version is now online.
No need to uninstall the old version manually, it automatically removes the old version and installs the new one.

ALSO

I have added a small manual in the README section of the installer for how to use it.
All NT 3.1/3.5/3.51 versions.

It's not possible. First you'll need to disable DEP for the very old services driver to install, and even then there would be conflicts with the networking protocol installed on each adapter.
