I've never heard of Windows 2000 Home Edition? Maybe the guy meant to say XP, but the page is talking about 2000 and NT4.... Maybe he has an unleaked build of Neptune? (Apart from 5111 :P)

Neptune was planned as the Windows 2000 Home Edition.
Build 5111.1.

He means Windows XP there. The hack he presents removes the timebomb on eval copies of Win2k and also changes XP Home to Pro, sort of. Windows 2000 Home Edition doesn't exist in a final stage.

Yeh, it sounds like it's the same idea as TweakNT; removing the timebomb, and changing the Product Suite.

btw, neptune was never planned as 2000 home edition, neptune was planned as 2000 successor, codename of first service pack was "triton", but when neptune gets cancelled, triton got too of course ;)

edit, but you can convert 2000 pro to 2000 home 8)

Nope. Just the name, and on XP, the branding images.

No it wasn't, they weren't even close to the same thing. There is no way that you could convert ME into 2000.
