Just stumbled upon those in a winbrand.dll; apparently FLP's branding during the beta stage.

Awesome! :) - what build did you find these in? I've never seen those before, I seem to remember seeing some screenshots of an Eiger beta that just looked like normal XP (though it may be that they didn't have a Winver or anything open, I can't remember now).

These are in my WEPOS build. I've never seen those either.
Interestingly, that screenshot of the FLP beta I have seen already says "Windows XP Fundamentals for Legacy PCs Version 2005" in System Properties, i.e. the naming was almost final. The WEPOS winbrand.dll contains the "Code Name Eiger" string however.

I would, in the first place, rather want to know what "Mönch" exactly is. Judging from what I've read about it, it seems to be just a superset of Eiger/FLP. But that's about it. I don't know its real name (if it's different than FLP's), have never seen screenshots of it.

WinFLP was originally announced with codenames "Eiger" and "Mönch" in mid-2005. Just like previous Microsoft Windows codenames, these are names of mountains. The Whistler and Blackcomb peaks are in British Columbia; Eiger and Mönch are in Switzerland.
Its just another codename for FLP :)
