Not tested, quite hard to find :) depending on the iso most 5111 builds are cracked by darkside and dont need CDkeys or have timebombs

Please reply if it works, if not ill keep looking for you

I can most definitely tell you RBDC9-- works, as well as for Whistler builds Pre-Beta 2.

ive saw this text:

(OSBA archive)

Quote:
Neptune build 5000...

1 - Was it leaked? Yes.

2 - Can it be proven? No.

3 - How do I know it was leaked even though it can't be proven? All leaked betas are kept track of in M$. The reason it can't be proven is the right people who could prove it aren't known. It was found out at the time that it was leaked but now it's only a memory. If it's ever found... That'd be an amazing feat all on it's own.

4 - Is it out there? Maybe. I'm sure someone's got it but whether or not that person is found... That's yet to be known.

The (fact?) assumption Neptune #5000 has probably been leaked and given to very few people has been around for some time, but as the text says, there aren't any ways to prove it.

Let's say I meant Microsoft might have given this build to a very limited number of testers, if at all. So in your terms, the word would have been "released".

The screen shots of neptune in the screen shots section of
betaarchive appear to be timebombed, I was of the opinion that if it was
timebombed then it was a good chance of being an uncracked beta.

AFAIK MS has not given it to anybody. Someone who worked for MS had this build and gave it to a very few people. This is so called private leak...

On some beta CDs and on some trials. I've got an evaluation copy of Windows 2000 Advanced Server and it has the key written on the CD as well.

Absolutely right, forgot to mention those.

Yes. Windows 95 OSR2.x beta.

I have Neptune Build 5111 and it never even asked me for a product key. Does this mean the build of Neptune I got was fake?

Doesn't the patched iso just have the "270" edited over the "000" in the setupp.ini
to avoid the need for a key, similar to win2000, & the setupreg.hiv had it's
timebomb removed, & then the iso made bootable.
correcting the setupp.ini & setupreg shouldn't be that hard to resurrect, surely.

Not really. Judging from the Nashville Build 1265 screenshot I posted in the thread about the screenshots of the un-leaked builds, Nashville seems to have branched in two - the Windows 95 OSR 2.x Beta's branch, and a branch of its own, of which Build 1265 is a part of. ;)

Yes, the original question was if Nashville exists. It does, and it was at least the codename for OSR2 beta.
