i have a question about whistler, does anyone know how far back you must set your BIOS/System clocks prior to the installation? I couldnt really find that info anywhere, thanks.

I used to have some info but it's not on this computer...

There is a thread about Longhorn BIOS date, but the one about Whistler seens nowhere to find or already sank deeply...
Maybe we should start a new one and pin it. :?

Shouldn't a few days before the build was compiled work? That's what I've done for a lot of things, with little trouble.

Use a date a few days after the build's compilation date, that should work fine.

name the build, i'll help you

common build
2250 - set to July 1st, 2000
beta 1(2296) - set to October 25th, 2000
2428 - set to February 10th, 2000
beta 2(2462) - set to March 18th, 2001
2481 - set to May 25th, 2001
rc1(2505) - set to June 24th, 2001
rc2(2526) - set to july 15th, 2001

anyother build, just determine a correct time, or ask me

somebody told me that the early ages of whistler (like 2202) has sth like 14 days... I dont know if he's correct of not, in fact, the time must be very close and it should never more than one month..
