I'm thinking of formatting my system with a dualboot of Ubuntu and Windows XP MCE, and setting up something like this [http://oopsilon.com/Running-a-Windows-Partition-in-VMware] which will let me use the Windows partition in VMWare by creating two hardware profiles. ie. when I boot the partition in VMWare I choose the VMWare hardware profile, otherwise I choose the "native" profile.

However, my copy of XP is an OEM one that's tied to my machine's native BIOS with System-Locked Preinstallation. So, everytime I boot into VMWare, it won't see my Dell BIOS and will lock me out of my computer .... right? Or will it just work? How does BIOS-tied activation work with different hardware profiles like this?
