Memphis build 1411 expired. How can I recover the system?

Post by Morea »

Yesterday I started one of my VMs and I decided to use Memphis build 1411...it was a while since I runned that VM for the last time (I think it was like 2 months ago) and after I opened it an MS-DOS error popped up telling me that version of Windows expired and I can't boot up into Windows. It's a shame cause I setted up that VM with video drivers, sounds and Office...

Is there a way to get into Windows without reinstalling the whole Memphis OS? Thanks! :)

I think the best way is to re-install it, and set the BIOS date to what the build accepts.

Replace IO.SYS and MSDOS.SYS with those from final 95 or 95B, this worked for me.
