My goal is to correctly set up a VM with Chicago build 99 giving it also internet access. Since I learnt that PCem can emulate that beta better than VMware, I need to set up a new VM with it. But I've never used PCem. What roms should I use? What are all the steps to install it correctly? Or should I use another emulator? Thanks and sorry for my ignorance with PCem

Use this binary of PCem: http://citadel.rol.im/pcem101_experimental.7z .
It's fairly simple, create a hard disk directly in the emulator (504 MB should be enough), choose a board like SiS 496/497, R418, or any Pentium board, mount the ISO directly in the emulator (yes it supports that now), boot from a boot disk, and install. :p
