I know, I must be a hard-core masochist to voluntarily run WinME. Anyway, I'm looking for a good graphics-card for it. The hardware I already have is surprisingly well supported considering it's an A64 3200 with 1GB ram on an nforce mobo. Only additions so far are my AWE64 soundcard and an old Intel PRO NIC.

So any recommendations on graphic cards that are PCI and support 3D well on ME?

whu not get a old pci gforce card, i know nvidia doesnt support win9 any more but it shouldnt be hard to find a detonator driver for win-me, as for win-me, theres nothing wring with it, i used it for 2 years,it was no better or worse than any other windows os ( althought i did have to run anticrash once a week to keep win-me healthy )

I've never heard of anticrash, care to elaborate on what that is?

Thanks for the tip on geforce, I suspected they would work best but you never know. This is an almost 10 year old OS after all. :)

its a VERY good tune up app for windows ( it worked wonderfully on win95win98 but it didnt run on windows xp ), its not freeware so i cant share it with you (although i would put a copy on rapidshare if you want, minus the serial ley) and as for a geforce driver, just use the nvidia forceware driver. http://rapidshare.com/files/80680057/An ... v3.6.1.exe

Hehe, thanks. Checking it out in a VM first to figure out though. I don't even dare to look at the bare metal install I have out of fear of making crash. :P

Is there a particular reason you need a PCI card? Does your board only support PCIe besides PCI?

Yeah, the board is PCI-E only. The reasons I'm hanging on to it is because it's been very compatible with all OSes I've thrown at it so far and it happens to have a PCI-slot to spare after I've fit the soundcard and NIC. :)

there is a whole bunch of cards at Newegg

I bought this card for a TV-PC project that I was planning. It has svideo out and TV out, plus VGA out. The card comes in a retail box, with a JATON driver CD, with GeForce drivers, and 2 copies of WinDVD.
