It looks like Chicago Build 58s, but the Programs folder has a Windows 3.1 like icon and instead of having groups, all programs are in one folder. It is also a very rare build. I got the screenshot, but I don't actually have the build.

How do you know this if you "don't actually have the build."

From where did you find this screenshot.

Did you look at the screenshot? I posted the information because of what I saw in the screenshot. That's what the screenshot showed.

Sure, and I have Windows 1.0, ME2, Neptune 5000 and Windows 7...

...but I'm not allowed to talk about them.

Alright, enough. One thing is scepticism, but another thing is to mock people because of that. So, unblestone once postead a fake screenshot of Chicago build 034, so therefore, any posted Chicago pre-58s screenshot must be fake. Nice way of thinking, really. It's not all that surprising, that an increasing number of people don't want to share their stuff anymore. :-/

I agree, anyhting before 58g is fake unless proven real.
Btw, I stil think the chicago build 40 is real, buit anything else is fake, including this one.

The screenshot shows some programs in a folder, the same as when
you double click on the desktop of build 58s.
So basically what you are saying, is this build of chicago has just 6 programs
accessible from the menu ( or installed for that matter )
My opinion, I would think not, but simply the programs folder is accessible from
the desktop just as build 58s is also accessible from the desktop.

The point here isn't scepticism, moreso the whole point of making a post of a screenshot of a supposed build, then making a statement of "I'm not sure if I can talk about it"

Please, lets ask why it was posted in the first place if he's not sure if he can, or was even allowed to post it in the first place.
What's the point of this entire thread - PERIOD?

Don't try & make sense of everything you read, you'll just give yourself
an ulcer...
But let me fill you in on my opinion of the point of this post...
Seems there's more to this user than meets the eye...

Since I'm refusing to meet his demands, he's come in & dangled a fish in
front of me...
Interestingly, he's also made a slipup in his last PM, although possibly
deliberately, & will now no doubtedly claim to know nothing of what I
speak of...
When will these childish games end...
I can see my being here {or any software related forum} is somewhat a waste of my time &
a mockery on my behalf, & will always remain so...

Seems as if he is interested in Windows Codename "Chicago".

Chicago 4.00.47 exists.

Oh' do you think so?, these are the PM's I haven't deleted...
How many times must I say no..?

I'm sure it quite possibly does, along with 100's of other builds, but in
who's possession, & at what cost..?

I'm sorry. I promise I'll never PM you about unleaked builds again, and I'm sorry for any trouble that I've caused you.
Also, I'm sorry for sending you so many PM's.
I didn't post the Chicago Build 47g screenshot to mock you. I posted it because I got the screenshot and I was allowed to leak it, so I thought it would be a good idea to post it here. All I wanted to do was to share an intresting screenshot. I'm disapointed that you would think that I was trying to mock you.

I'm not much of an expert at apologising but I don't think that wink did you many favours...

To address my previous comment, as Unknown said it's not merely scepticism it's the fact that he spoke about it and then mentioned that he can't. I've just been around too many people who've tried to bust in to a community with false offers of this and that, and promises that they can supply this software or that hack in order to gain something in return. It doesn't win any friends.

Not to say I don't welcome new members here though, nor to I scorn those who can't always provide what they promise, but I've little patience when it seems a lot like they're hollow promises from the start just to get whatever they came here for. As I always say though I'm willing to be proved wrong and I mean no personal offense to anyone in this thread, I'm just trying to explain why I'm a little short on patience sometimes (especially when I seem to have no/little reason for biting at someone).

Excuse my little outburst, hope I haven't bitched too hard.

I can't prove that this is real, but I know that it is because I got it from a person that can be trusted. I wasn't trying to fool anybody. All I wanted to do was to share an interesting and rare screenshot. I don't have the build, and I never said that I did. All I have is the screenshot, from a reliable source, and all I wanted to do was share it. I don't make things up.

it might a good idea to post a screenshot displaying the file properties of some the files, that way we can see the build number.

I can tell you for sure that the screenshot of that Chicago build was not a fake. I was once a member of the German Beta Group, which unblestone was a member of, too. We had the build, and it was real. I wish I still had it, but I've lost interest in collecting OS betas long ago and haven't kept any backups.

As for the 47g screenshot, that's a fake, no question.

[edit]
Thinking about it again, I may confuse build 34 with 38. Memory is fading and I'm not too sure if we're talking about the same screenshot. I'd need to see it, but it hasn't been posted here.
