I was thinking that because many of my old games do not work well on xp that I should put windows 98 on a different partition. Would I be able to get drivers for my hardware (about 1.5 years old) and how big should the partition be?

Unless we know what hardware exactly is in your box, we won't be able to tell you. As for the partition size, it depends on what you want to install. If they're old games requiring rather little space, I'd say ~5GB should last for a while.

I have Win98 on 40GB hard drive divided in 4 partitions, about 10GB each. Computer is PII 350MHz with GeForce 2 Mx400 (64MB).

If there are no drivers for Win98 in product's CD, try to search Internet: For example www.driverguide.com

What about Windows 2000? That worked for a number of my games except just a few. I also used it since most of my drivers are compatible with 2000. 9x drivers are getting harder to find as NT is now supported more.
