Windows Sparta from here?

Post by zeehonden_3 »

I've downloaded (in a torrent file) windows sparta 203.1. In the info it said that it was downloaded from this forum. I've checked it in the Microsoft OS beta list, but there is no version of sparta that is on this forum.

Is the checklist wrong, or did I downloaded a wrong version?

I can't check if it is on the server by myself, because i am still normal member.

If there is none at the servers, I can upload it if you like.

Sparta is the codename for Windows for Workgroups if I remember correctly so it may be named "Windows for Workgroups".

Yes, OSBA was before BA.
OSBA wasnt going nowhere anymore so it was shutdown (read the HOME page, its all explained there) and BA was created.

But this file is on our FTP.
Dont know exactly, but it is there.

DrRob

Ye list NEPTUNE as a hybrid 16/32 bit OS. It actually is a true 32-bit system. The base code is a fork on the NT 5.0 (2k) beta 2 code, but with sample code intended for the HOME version. In essence, Neptune is the version of 2k consumer version for 2001 release.

It never got there. Bits of it ended up in Windows ME and in Windows XP. It is essentially a testbed for ideas that turned up in Windows XP Home.
