Windows 3.1 build 103d?

Post by DiskingRound »

I know that BA member DeFacto/Overdoze found Windows 3.1 RC3x references in this document: http://antitrust.slated.org/www.iowacon ... X01251.pdf
Well I decided to take a look at the document myself and found something weird:

According to the document, there were several compiles of RC3, and there exists RC3d.
Could that mean that 103 was RC3? (BTW, The Distractor figured that out before, but now it seems we have proof that 103d is RC3d).

Well, RTM is also 103, and considering the fact that the article mentions builds up to RC3g, then RTM is either 103g or later (in case g was promoted to RTM or later recompiles were made).

I don't think 103g becoming RTM is a coincidence. I think it was done deliberately, because the ASCII code of "g" is 103. :p

Edit: Also, WfW 3.11 RTM (which has RTM at 3.11.300), from what I remember, has OLECLI.DLL and OLESRV.DLL with Build 101, also labeled as RC1 in the version table. But I'm not sure if that's RC1 of Windows 3.1 or Windows for Workgroups 3.1 (which has RTM at 3.10.2.102).
