Wow, could you please make some screenshots and upload them (use the Screenshotuploader on the top of the forum)?

Could this really be Windows 1.00?

But, if it is, wouldn't the mouse not work in VPC?

Anyway, can you get a shot of the boot screen? I want to see it.

Check the vga.lgo file with notepad that is located on the first disk and write down the file dates.

So we can verify if this is the real thing (we have been fooled with hexeditors).

@Dr Eggman: The PS/2 mouse won't work on Windows 1.0x.

@Rodney01: Can you please check the "created/modified" date of your files?

@emperium:

The PS/2 mouse WORKS!

Use this trick, supplyed by Namronia:
Quote:
You need:

Windows 1.0x
Windows 2.03
WinImage

First open the first floppy disk from 2.03 with Winimage and extract mouse.drv.

Open the first disk of 1.0x and replace 1.0x's file with the one from 2.03.

In setup you can now choose "Microsoft BUS\SERIAL" and you have now a mouse in windows 1x

This has been veryfied by me with windows 1.01, 1.02, 1.03, 1.04.

@Dr. Eggman: I was talking about an unmodified copy of 1.0x.

@Rodney01: Which month? November or earlier?

Rodney, if you need it, I can give you access to a place to upload the files (however, rapidshare would work)

It's so super small, it can easily be uploaded in a minute to rapidshare.
