Just a question: Is it possible to implement a rename function for the screenshot galleries on the forum? This would come in handy if you've made a typo or to organize them better. :)

That would be handy...
I always find that the order they end up in my folder is never
how they end up on the screen shot page, even when I choose to
organize them by name in the folder they reside in, could never
work that out...
I was thinking of starting each filename with a number, & continually
increase the number by one to see if they took order then on the
screen shot pages...

Actually I was talking of renaming the gallery itself, not the files in it, but that would be very useful, too. I usually name my screenshots "xyz_n.jpg" or something like that, where "xyz" is the description and "n" is a number, so I can make sure they end up in the same order on the screenshot page (this has been working for me).

@KenOath: Please go on uploading your screenshots to the gallery, this is just amazing (especially the various Whistler ones, as these are my favourites) :) And a question: Do you still have these OSes installed? The reason I am asking: I'm looking for a screenshot of the Classic (Win2k style) log on screen from Whistler Professional 2430 or 2433...

(And something else, a bit off-topic and it makes me feel a bit ashamed to ask that: Do you have any plans to share one or more of these Whistler builds anytime? The collection on the server's missing some, and so is mine, and I'd love to add some Whistlers to it because these are my favourites.)

I'll try that when I have another go at uploading some more shots..
I just finished spending an hour upping various shots, After renaming
some plus converting them from large png's to smaller one's or jpeg's..
Some of the whistler builds save screenshots that are quite large in
file size, a couple of which I upped by accident...

No I took these screenshots early last year when Google gave me my
own address or page to use, I tried making a screenshot page with it
but unfortunately my experience is zero when it comes to making
& working on the layouts of web pages, work is way too busy for me
to do too much more than play with betas now & then so learning
another side of the internet would take me way too long on my own...
I'll keep on upping them whilst I take breaks from work now & then..

At the moment there are a couple of members lurking within who have
done nothing but make my time contributing, a wasted effort in the past
on other forums, they seem to think my sharing is my way of
attention seeking, & spam my inbox crazy as soon as I do share
something which is why I post very little or help as little as I have to
any more...
My personal opinion is to share & make what could be lifelong
friends, my nasty side says screw the morons, give em nothing...
I'll give you an example of what I'm talking about, which also contributed
to why I took another break for 2 months last year...

I will say this though, when the party\ies responsible send me an email
apologising & call a truce, giving explanation as to why they do it I won't
be too involved like I once was..

With morons going on like that, I'm surprised you can even stand posting here at all...

What is wrong with these guys? And what's it to them what other people share and doesn't?

The rename function can be abused, badly, which is why I never implemented it. If you made a typo, simply PM me and Ill be more than happy to rename it myself.

Renaming the folders to other names, losing track of the actual build they represent etc. Its easier to request that I change it, since its not a regular occurance.

For example, people could rename everything to "COME TO www.MYSITE.com!!! or "OMG THIS SUX".

I'm guessing, right?

Correct. People could also just cause disruption and rename things to different build numbers etc.

@Andy
I get your point with the renaming bit. It's a good point, so I think it's better to leave it this way.

@kidde
Exactly my opinion, too. Why do other people care what others do, erm, share and don't?

@KenOath
OK, now I can fully understand, I think. I want to be honest, I feel a bit bad about simply asking you to share something like that because I know I can't give anything back to you. Under these circumstances, I fully respect your decision not to share anymore, but if you do, be assured it'll be greatly appreciated by the majority of the members here. I guess I can't and shouldn't say much more about this, but it makes me feel quite bad to see other people have nothing better to do than having a go at others.
