Is anybody here is interested in beatboxing? For me it's something like a hobby :D For those who don't know "beatboxing is a form of vocal percussion which primarily involves the art of producing drum beats, rhythm, and musical sounds using one's mouth, lips, tongue, voice, and more." (c) Wikipedia.

Here's a little something i recorded a couple of minutes ago using my laptop integrated microphone - Mic test

People still beatbox? Man I thought that died out in the late 80's. Its just noise to me, and not very peasant noise at that.

I do it all of the time, but just for myself, like some people sing. It drives my wife nuts.

Great. A few years back it was "afros", "mullets" and "bell bottoms", so we've already relived the 70's, I suppose the next logical progression is to relive the 80's. In a few years we get an "dropping LSD and dancing around in a garage full of people listening to Prodigy revival", so it aint all bad.

OG, your information about beatbox is out of date. The beatboxing became popular again at the end of 90's, when Rahzel released his beatbox-CD. And in 2005 there was even a world championship of beatboxing in Germany

I'm not saying that beatbox is a part of modern popular culture. It's not. But on the other hand, it's not so dead as you said.
