Is there anyway possible of extracting a password protected file in a ZIP file with out the password at all? You must know a way? I'm trying to bruteforce it, i've tried a dictionary attack even though the word IS in the english language... Is there anyway of building a cracker in batch or anything that will not cost me, that will use a custom wordlist?

The file I need is a txt file.

Thanks,
Mattarnster

A password-protected zip file is encrypted, not just a thing saying that you need a password, which is interpreted by the extraction client. ;)

You probably need a paid utility

Have you tried google?

How sensitive is the information? I seem to have a lot of luck with this, would you be willing to send me the zip file?

You can use the wordlists used by Aircrack-They're 100MB or so in size. BTW, dont open it in notepad! (LOL)

If the password is long, than it could take a loooot of time to crack this zip-file...
