Is there any reason you made the options in the poll in ALL CAPS? Infact, did this need to be a poll at all?
To answer your question though, Avast has a very good, and proven track record. I myself find Microsoft Security Essentials to be a great competitor, though.

It's for $60/~43€.
Personally I try it for 30 days for free and then download keys :)
EDIT: AVG has too many false alerts. It even detects Windows 2003 & XP & LH Anti Product Activation Crack 2.0.1 :?

Either BitDefender or Kaspersky. They are by far the best.

NoD32 for me, though back when I really used AV sofware Trend Micro was good too. I also dont mind Bit Defender. Had some real lousy experiences with Kaspersky & Norton.

1) Avast - Good, fast and he will work on Your computer very good. I use him from 7 years.
2) Nod32 - Very light, little system supplies take.
3) Kaspersky 2010 - very good, but during the actualization, the processor stresses out.

Yes, every sentence spelled with entirely capital letters costs approximately 0.5 pounds to upload to the internet, which is why people who continually use capital letters are often not here for very long.

Didn't we have a best antivirus thread less than five months ago? Anyway, my suggestion would be Nod32.

In my opinion Avast is the best free antivirus, and also one of the best at all: it's fast, compatible with many OSes (from Windows 95 to Vista) and uses few RAM.

If you prefer a commercial solution or you use a server OS (Avast doesn't allow being installed on that kind of OSes), I'd recommand Symantec Antivirus (not Norton)

Ahem... something you should take a look at. This is quite amazing...

This is extremely awesome. I am running Kaspersky Security Suite CBE right now and it didn't cost me a dime.

Using Microsoft Security Essentials myself and haven't had any problems. It is easy to use and does not take much resources. 8)
Nod32 is also good (using it on my parents and living room computer). And like Microsoft Security Essentials, it is also easy to use and lightweight.
