I'm currently at the "Longest running 4th of July celebration in Minnesota" and it happens to be across the street from my house =D
118th consecutive run of the celebration, and we had a massive ammount of people turn out (enough that we had to park cars in people's yards, and in the surrounding hay and wheat fields.) supposedly we get around 4-5 thousand people, and more before the fireworks.
Best part of this is: tomorrow morning, I get to comb the "grounds" for the change that was dropped under the tables, and everywhere... in past years, people can get about $20 a person the next day... (here's hoping)

Where in MN do you live? I'm watching the Apple Valley fireworks and parade

We were at the one of the largest parades today in MN and it is HUGE. We are going to see fireworks too, unfourtunately my dad doesn't have enough money to go to Wisconsin to get the "legal" fireworks. (Here in MN fireworks are illegal if they reach a certain sound level or if the firework leaves the ground, but fountains are ok)

My mistake... this year is the 117th...
Anyways, We live in "North" Morristown MN http://www.ci.morristown.mn.us/northmorristown/
I say "north" because technically it isn't a real, official part of the town, and it is about 5 miles north of the real Morristown, but it still is a nice place (albeit there are only about 5 buildings, one is my house, one is my garage, one is the church, one is the parsonage, and the other is the pick nick grounds.)

Happy independence day everyone! I haven't seen the fireworks just yet, because I have to watch them in TV. For several years the city I live in prohibits the use of fireworks in July 4...

Wow... what a Night...
Party is still raging on, but I got tired, took some food (for free, since I helped out) and decided to leave.
Professional band will probably be playing till well past 1AM, I've heard rumors of it going past 2AM.
Fireworks for the whole thing were shot off in my front yard =D Got the most amazing view from my bedroom window... but only my webcam saw it, I was selling any food that could be grilled or deep fried.

(only reason I had to leave is because I have someone expecting a laptop ready for them tomorrow at church... yikes!)
