you can check cpu compatibility on web.
http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Support/Moth ... #anchor_os
it should support most intel 65nm cpus (E6xxx and E2xxx)

According to Wikipedia, the E2220 CPU is the top of the line CPU for the Allendale/Conroe series. So yes it's better.

there shouldnt be problem with overclocking your E2140 to 2.4GHz. And basically you would "upgrade" to E2220 for free :)
these cpus can mostly run at more than 3GHz..

instead of e2220 i got an e1600
and i see a BIG diference in vista score and speed, boot time, loading time

e1600 has 2 celeron processors at 2400 mhz

what do you think about this processor,is it good or bad ? :)

It depends on the motherboard, but you can also get an quad-core.

Which is better.

Just hold on to the processor you got for longer (which runs fine for now I think) and save some money to buy an higher end Duo Core or even a lower or mid range Quad Core.

Or get a Core i5 or maybe a Core i3, these processors are going to come out when Windows 7 goes on sale.
