Host your own, easiest way. You just need a static IP. Failing that, you'll have to pay for someone like no-ip to do it.

On my router I can set it to stay static, but its not by default.

If your service isn't static, then you have to pay extra to get it to be static. Setting it in your router does nothing. If the service is dynamic it will just fail to connect if you set a static IP.

It will work while your IP remains the same as the one you set in the config. Once it changes it won't work and won't force the IP to become that IP.

Meh, its still worth a shot... So any ideas how to do it in LAN and outside the LAN?

If you want to do it internally then you can just use any internal DNS server, but if you have two servers behind the same IP you can't do it externally. It has to be separate IP's, the simple reason being that you can't use ports in DNS entries.

If you want to have one at home and one at your Dads for example then thats OK, since they're behind separate IP's.

You need the static IP to run the DNS but you don't need static IP's for the ones running the servers since you could hide them behind some dynamic IP service (no-ip/dyndns).

Windows Server 2003 R2, Enterprise Edition with SP2 has a feature that allows you to use loadbalancing, inside the network. If its in the network, assign each server an IP address for static IP. You can also write a script, if desired :P

I know but it has to have a inside DNS server set up. Witch is complicated on Windows Server Enterprise.
