http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/ ... andidates/

It also includes the new icon they were talking about.

this is not the real RC, it's a nightly build :beta:

I know that's why I said RC1 release candidate. In other word, release candidate of RC1.

But couldn't we just go to the Mozilla FTP and check that out ourselves..? Nightly builds are nothing big. An RC of an RC is hardly topic worthy. :|

I am new to the firefox 3.5 beta, is this like the 3 and 2 betas where you could install beside a working copy of the latest final build?

As long as you are not running both at the same time just change the directory of the install and you can install any version with any number of any versions of Firefox :P.

RC1 was just released yesterday. The build you were talking about wasn't the final RC1, but just building up to an RC1 build. They were nightly builds, at any point there could be nightly builds for RC1, RC2, RC3, Final, 3.6 Alpha, 3.6 Beta, 3.6 RC1, etc.

In other words, it was RC1 WIP (work in progress), meaning that it wasn't actually the build they were going to release as RC1.
