So, I just read (via /.) that some versions of Win7 is gonna include an optional "WinXP virtual machine" but the requirements are among other things, CPU hardware virtualisation.

So, what CPU models have this builtin?

I've got an AMD Athlon64 3200+ now, I don't believe I have the requirements.... but I would like to know what I need.

To be honest, a WinXP VPC-ish compatiblity mode would be great, as my GF has no end of problems with Visa Home atm....

All that aside, I'm under the impression WinXP is prolly the most stable Windows to date (bar the various Server versions, of course, but I have never tried them, and don't have a need for them anyways, AFAIK) and the compatibility VM in some of the 7 versions announced, would be a great help for running not entirely state of the fart.... I mean, art, games and programmes

Why not run this application:

http://www.grc.com/securable.htm

It tells you if it possible or not.

Better then searching if the processor supports it or not.

(You need to look at the thirth YES or NO.
