On a 64 bit computer if you try to run 32 bit java applets online you (well at least I) get "msvr71.dll is missing or not found". Naturally you go online and get the dll. The problem is I do not know how or if it is possible to register 32 bit dll's on a 64 bit system.

Thanks, Zamadatix

Yes you can register 32bit DLL's on a 64bit system, but why not just get the 64bit java as stated above? I'll run much better on a 64bit system.

Moved to Software/Application/Game Support and Discussion

I do have a 64 bit java installation. It is just a pain in the ass to switch between browsers when it is of and on what site uses which. That and thy do not make opera 64 bit or chrome 64 bit.

I use 64-bit java and the 32-bit version (both installed) and then the program decides which one to use.

I don't know.

But the easiest way is to do this:

Download and install:
http://javadl.sun.com/webapps/download/AutoDL?BundleId=29219

And then this one:
http://javadl.sun.com/webapps/download/AutoDL?BundleId=29222

Then you have the 32-bit and the 64-bit installed.

I meant: I had it installed I do not anymore.

So it has to be installed to run in a 32 bit browser and I am saying when It is installed I go to a page and it says that the dll is missing. 64 bit browsers run the 64 bit version fine but I do not like them a much as some 32 bit browsers and it is a pain to switch for flash.

ironically I ran a site that tests websites on diferent browsers for you and without even thinking about the java thing enabled it and sure enough one of the screenshots had the error XD

Any ideas?

Edit: Sorry, I forgot to use the image uploader the first time around.
