Hello all,

A friend found this earlier and I thought I'd share it.

I have office 2003 and I wanted to be able to open .docx files, and so did he, so he found this on Microsoft.

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/deta ... laylang=en

Its a converter pack that adds itself onto office so you can open and save docx files in older versions of office.

Hope this helps people as it helped me!

This is a nice program, using it since when it first came out.

Not some time after that it is distribute via Microsoft Update.
So if you have updates you're machine, also with office, you have this installed already.

Wow this is old... plus 2007 is better than any other version of Office in my experience.

If you can afford it, or can get a working copy, it might be. But some of us don't want to go down that route so we use what we already have ;)

You should do the free TechNet offer that was mentioned elsewhere on the forum recently if you want 2007 and legally, you get loads of legit keys for Office 2007 (and XP and 2003) on there ;)
