@Jeff, please stop posting that kind of URL's, you will never know if the site behind it is infected with virusses or not.
And for the topic here:

http://www.eeggs.com/items/719.html

exact link.

And on that site there are many more.

@DjRob: Are you saying letmegooglethatforyou may have
"virusses or not" or tinyurl could? Letmegooglethatforyou.com
is far too popular to be a likely malicious site.

@Shane: That was quite possibly the most thoughtful post I have ever read. Well done.

There's a link at the easter egg site DjRob posted to YouTube, seems like a pretty interesting easter egg. Is it only the two rooms and stairs with credits on the walls, or is it any larger?

tinyurl.

Tinyurl can be used for anything if you want, it's not very controlled, I got a few virusses from those links.

while the site can letmegooglethatforyou has been featured in lifehacker hackaday pcworld and many other tech sites, that and i use it everyday and have no problems (you think my sister would just remember by now... :p) that and hteres nothing suspicious in the source or the linking files.

It's just an Easter egg, lots of programs have them, there are similar things in Excel 97 and 2000 (you do the same key combinations but replace the 95s with 97/2000 I think). MS don't tend to put Easter eggs in their software any more, I think because there are supposed to be no undocumented features.

yeha in 2002 they signed some stupid paper about that so no more easter eggs.

im mostly shocked at this easter egg because most of the easter eggs i search for in modern programs (since 2005) have really boring ones (like on chrome about:internets says the pipes are clogged... :( )
