I think BA should have it's own Retro Challenge. For those of you who don't know what a retro challenge is, look here: http://retrochallenge.net. Its basically you have to use nothing but a computer system 10+ years old. The older the better. And you have to do your day-to-day tasks all on this machine ( Or multiple machines if all are over 10 years old). I think this is a good idea for some fun we can have on BA.

I took my notes on high school (for six months) on a 386 with Chicago 58 on it.
:)
I've also taken some notes (few) at the university on my 8085 portable with IBM basic!
:)
I love retro things
:)

I can go retro for gaming... but for general computing I couldn't give up my current rigs (considering all I had to do to get them).

Speaking about such, yesterday a new member came to my electronics family. An uncle gave me his UNBOXED (unbelievable but true) HP-41C
It's amazing, and can be used to solve all my maths problems at school! xD!
And... the best of it! It has less than 4 kbs of RAM
xD!
:)

Old PCs.... have 20 of 'em. I run my Secondary IIS Server on a 1994 PC. It has 32MB of RAM. Im running NT4 SErver on it, in a sub-domain of my Server 2k3 only domain.

Im also using my 1989 PC running Windows for Workgroups 3.11 for testing my C++ programs

I have a 1982 Sharp PC1211 that I use for short calculations and the like.

But with only 1KB of RAM it's not very suitable for surfing the Web.

Until 2005, I was using an RM Accelerator from about 1993, so I don't need to take this challenge.

However, I would be happy to get an old machine to write DOS programs on :).
